David Cook is keeping his feet firmly planted on the ground with his new endorsement deal with Skechers. The shoe company has recently signed the newest American Idol champion for a worldwide endorsement deal.

Skechers is said to promote their line of casual footwear and David Cook is the perfect model for it as he embodies a laidback look that just looks and feels natural. Skechers new style mirrors David’s own personality and charm.

He said that he has always seen Skechers as a cool company and that he’s very thrilled that he was chosen to become a part of their team and their new campaign.

The singer-songwriter’s first campaign will be released together with his first Idol album and the ongoing American Idols Live Tour 2008.

David will be endorsing Skechers until December 2009.
David’s goofy smile will be quite a refreshing change from all those sultry looks made by female models.
