Although David Cook didn’t sing “Time of My Life,” his “American Idol” coronation song, the experience had by the crowd of 3,500 at Allegan County Fairgrounds on Tuesday night was probably right up there. It’s surprising, really, that Cook came off the 2008 Idol tour only one year ago. He displayed easy camaraderie with the crowd and his band members (two, guitarists Neal “Doctor” Tiemann and Andy Skib played with him back in the day on the Tulsa music scene in a band called MWK), flicking picks like a pro and bantering with the crowd.

Being an avid football fan and a native of Blue Springs, Missouri, American Idol champ, David Cook, recently did pick his favorite NFL team. He is picking up the Chiefs over the Ravens this Sunday. Other than this, he’s shown his support towards Jacksonville, Minnesota, New Orleans and Atlanta. Why is he picking these teams is beyond my understanding. Better watch the video below…

After a long and tedious walk, rumors regarding our champ David Cook and his older chic finally surfaced the industry. According to source, this chic is 35 years old LOL! Almost a decade older to David Cook (26), but what do you know… women are like wine: the older the better. I’ve no idea David Cook can be this alcoholic. Her name is said to be Kimberly Johnston and speaking of names, David finally named his band and that would be David Cook and the Anthemic. I don’t know about you but that just sounds so cheesy and worn out to me. Why not call it COOK instead haha!

Last week, the singing reality show ended its eight season. And with the finale, David Cook said goodbye to his American Idol title. The singer says, “I feel like I was on the finale two months ago, so now to be handing over that whole reigning American Idol bit, it’s exciting for me. But it’s also the end of a little chapter in the book, so it’s a little bittersweet.” Yes, Adam won, he made an album and is currently doing a national tour — but his beloved brother Adam died. Career success plus family loss is definitely bittersweet.

David Cook further shares of his American Idol year, “I’ve never worked so hard, but I’ve also never had so much fun. To go overseas and play for the troops in the USO, and to play at Carnegie Hall for Hillary Clinton. To do everything; to come home and play for 18,000 people at the Sprint Center was just ridiculous.” The busy singer says, “We’re on the road for a while. I think our last scheduled date that we have as of right now is October … But we’re always writing, and I’m always trying to do other things, so it’ll be a busy year, hopefully.”
