“David Cook’s Declaration Tour,” which began February 13 will end soon on April 22! The tour, which hit college campuses across the nation, helped the American Idol champ to promote his self-titled album, which came out last November and was certified platinum in January. David Cook said in an interview about his touring life, “I’ve been very lucky. I’m still pinching myself. I’ve got a show tomorrow night. It’s hectic! But when I do get time off, I just lounge around and try to do absolutely nothing.” Yep, David Cook’s life has definitely changed drastically! He shares, “The biggest change is when I play music now, people are listening. A year ago I was playing in Tulsa, just trying to get people’s attention. Past that, I think all the ancillary things have changed. I’m in a very different place than I was a year ago, but I don’t feel like a different person. I’ve got amazing friends and family who will knock me down several rungs on the ladder to make sure I stay level-headed.” |
