David Cook would probably not be in his position right now as the newest American Idol champion if it wasn’t for his brother Andrew Cook. Andrew was supposed to audition for American Idol but David was the one who auditioned and in the end bagged the crown as well.

Now, the 25 year old singer-songwriter is set to endorse a new line of casual shoes for Skechers, he has a record deal up in his sleeves, and he has an unknown amount of money to spend.

As payback to his brother, David took Andrew to one of Hollywood’s hot spot, Les Deux, to celebrate his 21st birthday. Kimberly Caldwell, former American Idol hopeful and Cook’s current girlfriend, was with them for the celebration.

David Cook feels very happy to be able to have the opportunity to spend some money for his younger brother.

I think David deserves everything that he has right now. He’s a humble and talented person who has a bright future ahead of him.
