David Cook’s concert in hometown sells out in 6 minutes
Duhh! What else would anyone expect if the town hero stages a show in his own town?? So yeah, forget about getting tickets to David Cook’s national concert tour appearance in Kansas City this April 22. According to reports, tickets went on sale at 10 a.m. Monday and all 1,300 seats in the Pavilion show room at Ameristar Kansas City Casino and Hotel sold out in six minutes. Casino spokeswoman Roxann Kinkade said,
“We feel terrible. We’ve very, very sorry. We wish everyone could have gotten to see David Cook.”
Well, they can.. IF they have the money to pay the effin scalpers who most probably caused the tickets to sold out blindingly fast. Ms. Kinkade further said, “There was so much media attention. This is his hometown. We knew it was going to be bad.” Online tickets for David Cook’s show were priced between $55 and $80, and Kinkade said all buyers were limited to six tickets per order.

I was one of those fans trying to secure a ticket yet in a short 7 minutes the website told me that they were all sold out. I then started looking at other sites to find tickets only to find that Tickets Now and Stub Hub were selling those same tickets for $250 -600 bucks! That is so wrong!! So – what people cant afford that kinda cash for a ticket that DC wont be playing to a “sold out” crowd?
Then I thought – Ill start looking at other venues to see DC – but I then again figured the same thing would happen……………
DC probably doesnt even see an extra dime on those overly priced tickets. I cannot tell you how wrong that is…………
