David Cook told The Associated Press before appearing in Today’s Show that he ignores dating rules of waiting 3 days after a date.

“I don’t really believe in any sort of theories.”

“I just kind of call when I call.”

David Cook had a dinner with Kimberly Caldwell and said that he had a good time and will probably hang out again with her.

“Great girl, we hung out and we’ll see what happens.”

David was a big Dodgers fan while Kimberly sang the national anthem and then watched the game with him.

David Cook also told People.com about his life and dating after American Idol and he said:

“I’m very much a hopeless romantic. I still kind of believe in movies,” he told the magazine.
“I didn’t really think it through or I would’ve realized that everyone would be asking me about it. I can tell you this: I won’t be asking anyone out on TV again. We went on a date. It was nice. We’ll see what happens,” he told People.

And asked how his life was changed, he replied:

“It’s hard not to feel like your existence has shifted.” “I’m just a goof who got lucky.”

David seems really happy with his life now and his new found love, but are they really getting serious?
