Fresh from his concert with David Archuleta in the Philippines, the American Idol 7 champ will go perform on Wednesday night’s two-hour finale of America’s most popular show. According to reports, David Cook, the Black Eyed Peas, Queen Latifah, Keith Urban, Lionel Richie, Carlos Santana and Cyndi Lauper will be performing as American Idol will crown their 8th season champion. On Tuesday night’s show, Carrie Underwood will perform this season’s farewell song, her cover of Mötley Crüe’s “Home Sweet Home.” Now isn’t this a treat?? David Cook, Carrie Underwood and slew of celebrities performing back to back in two straight nights!! Just awesome! ^_^ Last year, American Idol’s two finalists, David Cook and David Archuleta did a duet on the “Spider-Man” tune “Hero” while the other finalists had a group number. Guess we could expect the same format for the season 8 finale. |

American Idol season 7 winner David Cook isn’t afraid of a little fertilized duck egg. In fact, he might eat it not just once, but twice. Cook, who is visiting Manila for a one-night only concert with fellow Idol alum David Archuleta on Saturday, won’t retreat on a dare to eat the Filipino delicacy balut. “I will try anything twice,” Cook said Friday morning (Manila time) in Magic 89.9’s radio show. Balut, a fertilized duck egg, is common in Southeast Asia and is considered as a potent Filipino aphrodisiac. [See: Aphrodisiac search: Trying to get hot in the city]. It has been featured in reality shows Fear Factor and Survivor, where it is considered a staple dare-food for contestants. |

Yes guys, Adam Cook is no more. And just one day after losing his older brother to brain cancer, David Cook delivered a touching address when he was grand marshal of the 12th annual Race for Hope 5K run in Washington, D.C. He said before the crowd: “I actually lost my brother yesterday to a brain tumor, and I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else right now… I lost one today, but I gained 9,000, and I will be here every year that they will have me.” The co-chair of the charity race, Jeff Klodin told People magazine,
Mr. Kolodin continued, “No one knew his brother had died, [and David spent the rest of the day] hugging survivors, signing autographs for them, taking pictures.” The American Idol champion had canceled a pair of concerts in March to go home and spend time with Adam. He also wrote “A DailyAntheM” in honor of his brother for his debut album. Adam Cook was a married father of 7-year-old twins. Our condolences to David Cook and his family. |

Can you guess who are the two lucky guys? Yeah, both are guys! I feel David Cook shortchanged Allison Iraheta — she’s simply awesome! Erhmm.. Back to the topic! Geneva Sun, a paper in suburban Chicago, reported that Adam Lambert and Kris Allen were singled out by David Cook as his favorites this year. He apparently “sneaked” into Joliet last Monday and gave a surprise show to University of Saint Francis students, staff and administrators at the Moser Performing Arts Center auditorium. David Cook “came home” to American Idol earlier this month and has said he has been watching the show and thinks all of the remaining contestants “still got something in the tank.” He singled out singers Kris Allen and Adam Lambert as two that stand out to him. The latter has been compared to David Cook several times as both is high on creativity. |

We all know that the hunky singer’s brother Adam has been battling brain cancer for over a decade and he has been very supportive of him. And now, David Cook will run for him on May 3 in Washington, D.C.
David Cook, meanwhile, says: “The opportunity to become involved in such a worthwhile cause is paramount for me and my family. I don’t run normally, but it seems a small sacrifice compared to what those who have fought cancer have endured. And the fact that my fans have rallied to raise so much in donations is the biggest compliment.” Atta boy! Your blessings today are so well-deserve coz you have such a good heart! =) |
